Cancellation Policy

Project Cancellation by Sponsor:

Sponsor Responsibility: If a sponsor decides to cancel a project after hiring a freelancer, they are responsible for paying for any work completed up to the point of cancellation.

Notification: The sponsor must communicate the cancellation through the platform’s messaging system and also cancel the project from their dashboard which will require approval from the freelancer.

Partial Refunds: If the project is cancelled after significant work has been completed, a partial refund may be issued based on the percentage of work completed, subject to review of milestone deliverables.

Project Cancellation by Freelancer:

Freelancer Responsibility: If a freelancer decides to cancel a project, they must notify the sponsor through the platform’s messaging system.

Payment and Review: The freelancer will not be paid for the project. The sponsor has the right to leave a review on the freelancer’s profile reflecting the cancellation. Persistent cancellations by freelancers may result in penalties or suspension from the platform.

Disputes:

Dispute Reporting: Payment disputes must be reported within 10 days of the transaction. Both sponsors and freelancers must first attempt to resolve issues through the platform’s dispute resolution process.

Mediation and Arbitration: In the event of a dispute between a freelancer and a sponsor, both parties are required to first attempt to resolve the issue using the Platform's dispute resolution process. Should the dispute remain unresolved after this initial attempt, either party may then choose to escalate the matter by initiating the mediation or arbitration process available through our platform. The outcome of the mediation/arbitration will be considered final and binding on both parties, subject to the Platform's rules and applicable laws.

Refunds:

Conditions for Refunds: Refunds are issued if the freelancer fails to deliver the agreed-upon work within the specified timeline, or if the work delivered does not meet the quality standards outlined in the project description.

Non-Refundable Situations: Refunds are not issued if the sponsor simply changes their mind about the project. In cases where the sponsor cancels the project, refunds are subject to the conditions outlined under "Project Cancellation by Sponsor."

Case-by-Case Basis: Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis, and decisions are made based on the specifics of each situation.

Service Fees:

Non-Refundable Fees: Any service fees charged by Lancerscape Global Private Limited are non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.

Fee Adjustments: If a project is cancelled or refunded, any service fees related to the project will not be reimbursed.

Additional Considerations:

Re-Engagement: If a project is cancelled and later re-engaged, a new contract must be created, and any previous terms will not apply.

Communication Protocol: Both sponsors and freelancers are encouraged to maintain clear and timely communication throughout the project within the platform to avoid cancellations and disputes.
