For businesses hiring
What does it cost to post a project?
Posting a brief is free, and so is browsing freelancers and comparing the bids that come back. You are only committed once you choose a bid you are happy with.
How does Lancerscape make money?
We charge a 10% platform fee on the project value, and it comes out of the freelancer's payout rather than being added to your budget. You are invoiced the project value and nothing more — no listing fee, no subscription, and no charges added later.
Who is my contract with?
Your agreement is with Lancerscape Global Pvt Ltd, registered with the Registrar of Companies in Chennai since 2020 — rather than with the freelancer. We contract the freelancer separately, and that is what allows us to stand behind the delivery.
What happens if the work is not delivered?
Because your agreement is with us, your recourse is with us, and we will make it right. That is the main difference from hiring someone directly, where any remedy rests with that individual alone.
Will I receive a proper invoice?
Yes — a single GST invoice in rupees from a registered Indian company, whoever carried out the work. Finance teams usually ask this first, so it is worth saying plainly.
Are freelancers verified?
Every freelancer who can bid on your brief is KYC-verified before they get there. Verification is the baseline rather than a recommendation — who you choose to work with is still entirely your call.
For freelancers
What does it cost to apply?
Nothing, and there is no limit on how many projects you apply to. There are no connects to buy, no credits and no subscription, and your profile is free with no paid tier above it.
How does Lancerscape make money?
We charge a 10% platform fee on the project value, deducted from your payout once the work has been paid for. Nothing is charged before that, and nothing is charged if you are not paid.
Who pays me?
Lancerscape pays you directly, in INR to your bank account, on approved delivery. Your contract is with us rather than with the business that posted the brief — so there is one company to invoice, and nobody to chase.
What if the client goes quiet?
That sits with us rather than with you. We contracted you for the work, so once it is delivered and approved we owe you for it — whatever happens between us and the client.
Can I pay to rank higher in bids?
No, and there is nothing available to buy that would move you up a list. That is precisely why applications are free: your portfolio and your proposal are what get considered.
How many projects can I apply to?
As many as genuinely fit your capacity. There is no weekly allowance and no cost per application, so the only real limit is what you can deliver well.
Still need a hand?
Get in touch and a person will reply. You do not need an account to ask.
