What to put in a logo brief
- What the business does, who its customers are, and where the logo will appear — a shopfront, an app icon, packaging, a website.
- Wordmark, symbol, or both. If you are not sure, ask designers to recommend one.
- How many initial concepts you want to choose between, and how many rounds of revision.
- The files you need: vector source files, transparent PNGs, single-colour and reversed versions.
- Logos you like and dislike, and why — more useful than any adjective.
- Your budget range and the date you need it by.

FAQ
How much does it cost to hire a logo designer on Lancerscape?
Posting a brief is free. You are invoiced the value of the bid you accept and nothing more — our fee comes out of the designer’s payout, not your budget. The price itself is set by the designers who bid.
Who is my contract with?
Lancerscape Global Pvt Ltd, a company registered with the Registrar of Companies in Chennai since 2020. We contract the designer separately, which is what lets us stand behind the delivery.
What if I do not like the logo?
Say so through the platform before accepting the work, against the brief you agreed. If it does not meet that description, we arrange for it to be corrected or completed, or refund you under our refund policy. Taste outside the brief is what revision rounds are for — which is why they belong in it.
Do I own the logo?
Yes, once you have paid the project invoice — the rights pass from the designer to Lancerscape when we pay them, and from Lancerscape to you, unless something different is agreed in writing. It is clause 8 of our terms.
Are the designers verified?
Every freelancer who can bid on your brief is KYC-verified first. Who you choose is still your decision, and you see each designer’s bid before you do.
